Why Did The Elephant Cross The Road?

Why Did The Elephant Cross The Road?
...to get arrested for jaywalking, of course.

In January, Tufts History professor Felipe Fernandez Armesto (name copied and pasted from the Tufts site - I'm not even going to try and spell that on my own) was arrested in Georgia following an incident of jaywalking. Yes, jaywalking. They actually arrest people for that shit, still?

Anyway, Atlanta Journal-Constitution "Common Sense Conservatism" columnist, Jim Wooten (does anyone else smell an oxymoron here? Or maybe just a moron?), has, of course, taken the side of the law in the situation.

Now, I'm not taking sides here one way or the other. I'm just here to say that the Conservatives really need to stop pinning Tufts as a lame target in EVERYTHING we do.

Go throw a hissy fit to someone who cares, svp.

I'll take a side ... Felipe Fernandez Armesto is an ass. (This Jim Wooten guy sounds like one too... but seriously, thinking of FFA in jail makes me smile.)

(also, cops playing doctor? Priceless...)
