These are the rudest, most arrogant, most delusional in all of football. Obviously it makes sense that OSU is #1, but I’d add Michigan to that list. Those kids are retarded about football and their team isn’t even that good.

I'm pretty sure the Bucks have every right to be as obnoxious and excited as football as they are. National Champions in 2002, and 2 straight years in the BCS bowl since then.

What kind of "class" does this represent to you? Do you behave like that at sporting events? ANY events?

This is no reflection on The Vest, a generally classy guy (in public, at least) who has eliminated most of the dirty play that characterized Ohio State during the Cooper era. Both Tressel and Kirk Herbstreit have publicly chastised the OSU fans over their behavior.

A video like this couldn't be made in Ann Arbor. If anything, fans there are criticized for their lack of passion and coolly intellectual, wine-and-cheese approach to the game. It's a valid complaint. It's who they are, and why they are often mistakenly viewed as "arrogant". It's not that they think they're superior. It's that dimwits just don't get 'em.

The week leading up to the Michigan game, newscasters in Columbus--a substantial city with professional sports teams--dress in school colors. The day Bo Schembechler died, the Dead Schembechlers were scheduled to play at the annual Hate Michigan rally at OSU.

Michigan fans don't lose perspective to nearly that degree. During the last Michigan-OSU contest in Ann Arbor there were students on campus who were oblivious to the game. There probably wasn't a person in the whole city of Columbus who wasn't keyed up about it.

What could stir such intense focus on, and hatred for, one competitor?

While Notre Dame fans might perhaps be the most delusional ones in college football, they are also the quite possibly the classiest. The atmosphere in ND stadium is so annoyingly family-friendly that students get in trouble for saying "suck." I actually linked this from an ongoing argument between a MI fan and an OSU fan on facebook [ridiculous I know]. As a freshman at Michigan, I chose to buy season football tickets as a fun experience, but when I saw an opposing fan hit by plastic cups thrown by a MI fan ... fun? Quite a few fans did step in to stop it, but I couldn't believe how disrespectful that was. Everyone has the right to cheer for their own team. When you directly edge the home team on as an opposing fan, thatâ��s different, of course you will get yelled at, especially if you're sitting in the student section. The student that was hit by cups though, had been walking through. Even if he had been yelling F U MI, throwing things still wouldnâ��t have been necessary. I have been to OSU, I went to last yearâ��s game, and it was almost scary. It is not â��funâ�� when you are constantly being yelled at while you walk down the street, especially when the comments are so vulgar. I wasnâ��t yelling GO BLUE or anything; it was scary enough just wearing a MI shirt.
Iâ��m not saying either school is better than the other, I just wish fans could be more respectful towards each other.
