Political Science professor A. James Gregor hates a lot of things. He hates Marxists and bellybuttons, Birkenstocks, and undergraduates. He despises callous language, smiling, and public displays of affection. Most importantly though? He hates being disrupted.

So if you’ve got to potty, make sure you do it well before of class. If you’re running even a minute late, it’s better to just not attend lecture than risk being ostracized in front of a lecture hall of 200. And if your cell phone goes off? You might as well just drop the class right then and there.

Watch the video above to witness a regular exchange between Gregor and a poor girl who came into the room in the middle of lecture to retrieve some stuff she had left behind. (Keep in mind that this was the first (and the kindest) of three shit fits Old Man Gregor threw during this hour and a half lecture.)

I took Poli Sci with him in 2000...good to see he hasn't changed. This was the man who said, in lecture, "Sometimes students complain about their grades, even when they're good grades like an A-...typically it's Asian females." The man is unreal. My father's a professor at an East Coast university, and my mother was staff at the same school until she retired. I've been around professors all my life -- most of my childhood friends were professors' kids, too. And if one of my professors had spoken to me that way in front of other students, I'd have told him -- loudly -- to kiss my ass. And if he had a problem with that, then I'd advise him to ****ing see me after class to discuss it in the alley. Anything left over after that, we could take up with the department head and the dean.

I worked my tail off and incurred hefty loans to put myself through college, and I'll be damned if someone whose salary is partly paid by my tuition and fees would get away with that sort of shit. One's status as a professor does not give one carte blanche to verbally abuse students -- particularly students who aren't taking your class -- no matter how important you think your lecture is.

Does he go off on students who walk in late...yes
Are his reactions a little overboard...sometimes
It is immpossible not to love him though, I'm taking him now and will be taking his class next semester as well. I guess this is his last year of instruction.
