This morning, United Auto Workers Local 2865 (which represents UC Berkeley TA’s and GSI’s) reached a tentative settlement with the University and called off the strike that was slated to start this week. What does that mean for us students?
Forget about sleeping tomorrow morning. You’ve still got to haul ass to your 8:00 am Linguistics section.
Yay (I guess) for GSI’s—congrats on getting better pay, workers protection, and health care. But next time, could you manage to pull of even one day of strike? I’m sure your lazy students (i.e. me) would appreciated it.
