Hmm, How Does One Make a Ceremony Seem Asian? Oh, I Know, Dancing Lions.

As you can see, Chancellor Birgeneau loves Asian shit.

The C.V. Starr East Asian Library, between North Gate and Memorial Glade, held its dedication ceremony, a way of patting itself on the back for taking only twenty years to build.

Although the library is not yet open to students, the ceremony commenced last Friday, the same day of Cal's monumental victory over Arizona.

And of course, no event honoring Asian things would be complete without Chinese dancing lions. Woohoo, the only artform featuring performers who are glad no one can see their faces. I sure hope this is what 1.3 billion of the world's population is remembered for.
