Earlier this month, UC Regents voted, 7-2, to authorize a 7.4% fee increase for the coming school year. While the governor has promised to retain the same amount of funds for the UC system this year as had been allocated for last year, UCs and CSUs are expecting to enroll fewer students.

If schools are planning to admit fewer people at higher costs, this means more high school graduates of this and coming years will be headed towards local community and city colleges.

IOverall, high school graduates will have lower chances of entering the California public school of their choice, and once in, will have to pay several hundred dollars more per semester/quarter, as will current students.

All I can say to Governor Schwarzenegger is: Terminator 4 better kick a lot of ass.
