Some of you may of heard of this, some of you may have not. Either way, you're going to love this thing.


Ever hear of the game, "The Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon". Well the University of Virginia has created a system that allows you to rule at this game. The Oracle of Bacon finds the connection to Kevin Bacon when you type in any actors name. From Charlie Chaplin to Paris Hilton, this machine finds the connection. Here is an example:


Charles Chaplin has a Bacon number of 3.

Charles Chaplin was in Picture People No. 3: Hobbies of the Stars (1941) with John Beal (I)
John Beal (I) was in Firm, The (1993) with Margo Martindale
Margo Martindale was in Rails & Ties (2007) with Kevin Bacon


The best thing about this research done by Virginia is that they discovered that Kevin Bacon isn't actually the best "center" for the game. People like Sean Connery and Tom Hanks have smaller "numbers" and therefore are a better Center than Bacon.
