This is an important time in our country, and right now it is necessary for everyone out there to get involved and help make a difference. With the past election earlier this month our country faced a great injustice with the passing of prop 8 (or how it should be referred to as prop h8te).

Californians are uniting around protesting this disgusting law that is making gay individuals feel like second-class citizens. But it isn’t just California where these injustices are taking place, rather other states like Arizona and Florida also had similar props passing in their states.
 

Last weekend marked the first set of organized protest taking place all over the state from Los Angeles to San Francisco, and this weekend protestors are heading back out for a round two. With this being said I think it is important that everyone get out there, gay or straight, and have their voice heard. Regardless of how you identify yourself it is important for you to support those around you that are being discriminated against.

I have many friends that took place in the protest last weekend, and urged everyone around them to pick up a sign and join the protest. I hope that a lot of new faces turn out tomorrow to support the cause. If you are unsure of where protesting is taking place near you, then check the link below:
