The Demon of Finals is probably also the Demon of Heatwaves.
To add injury to the injury, UC Berkeley, now days into its final exam periods, has descended into what can be considered a heatwave considering its mid-May.
The heat set in two days ago, and reached a record 99 degrees yesterday, oddly at the same time the first final exams were distributed. This was especially painful in buildings where AC was either not built in or broken, which is pretty much every building on this campus except the Haas Business School.
The heat will linger today and tomorrow, but begin to fall back into the 70s by the end of finals period. It is affecting pretty much all of California, and they are feeling it way worse in Riverside, CSU Fresno, and University of the Pacific (where it is expected to reach 103 today). Luckily, the latter two are finished with exams, and Riverside has yet to start.
