"Freshmen Seminars" are basically BS classes worth about 1-2 units. The non-freshman population has pretty much reached the consensus that these seminars are useless bullsh*t. Not only do they take up a lot of time (even though they emphasize how "easy!" the classes are), they spend all that time on meaningless assignments that, although stupid, still need to be done.

On the other hand, some of these classes sound interesting by virtue of their titles alone. They include: "Wikipedia - I Love You," "Physical Culture Methods of Stress Management," and "There's Something About Harry [Potter]: Examining a Cultural Phenomenon." But who gives a f*ck, right? Interesting is interesting, but time is valuable. Kids are supposed to be writing their final papers, but instead they have to research articles about why girls stuck those Harry Potter toy brooms up their... you know.
