February 10th marked a momentous day, no it wasn’t this day twelve years ago that IBM’s chess playing computer Deep Blue beat Garry Kasparov in chess (nerds), it’s when thecampusbuddy.com launched. If you’ve made it this far I’m sure you can figure out the URL (if not you should probably spend less time reading this blog and more time…well, learning). It’s basically ratemyprofessor.com except with grade distributions. And unlike its predecessor, you can look up keywords like “funny”, “strict”, and probably “donkey penis” if you so desire (although from personal experience, those are classes best avoided). Unlike its predecessor, though, thecampusbuddy.com is a pretty original idea based around rating professors for students judge whether or not to take their classes based on several criteria.
