Over at Claremont, Kelly Clarkson Is in the Building. Well, not to be outdone, here at UC Davis, Seymour Hersh is in the building. The Davis Enterprise (wow, they’re still around?) has confirmed that he will be speaking at the Mondavi Center on October 17 as part of the Distinguished Speakers Series. The Enterprise reports:

“Hersh will discuss his most recent bestseller, Chain of Command: The Road from 9/11 to Abu Ghraib… Tickets to Hersh's talk range from $29 to $40.”

Well, that settles it, and at that price, you know it’ll be good. I hope everyone over at Claremont is crying right now. Thet'll probably print T-shirts that read “I went to Claremont and all I got was a crappy concert from Kelly Clarkson”.

...Isn’t the Mondavi Center trying to increase attendance? Or was this their big move?
