UC Davis Gets $1 Million to Stop Women Being Raped; Men Still Vulnerable
UC Davis will receive nearly $1 million over the next three years to improve the UC response, on all 10 campuses, to violence against women. Statistics from an article in The Davis Enterprise (they do statistics now!) indicate that:

“There are more than 27 incidents of violence against women for every 1,000 female students, and fewer than 5 percent are reported to police or campus officials.”

That’s a frightening statistic. What’s even more frightening is that there is no mention of male victims whatsoever. Men can get raped too.
