Call it censorship or call it just plain smart. University of Florida coach Urban Meyer has banned wide receiver Louis Murphy from talking to the media for the rest of the week.
The muzzle comes after Murphy let fly a string of smack talk against Miami that popped up in various Florida newspapers. UF and Miami will meet this Saturday for an epic showdown. Could it be that Hanna isn’t the only Hurricane Gainesville is afraid of?
The News-Press.com has Murphy’s exact words:
"If I’m right, the 'U' stands for the University of Miami,'' said Murphy, who had a 48-yard scoring pass from Tim Tebow. "Well, we’re the University of Florida. We’re the 'U.' I don’t refer to them as 'the U,' I refer to them as Miami. If 'the U' is for university and winning and championships, we’re 'the U.' They are Miami. And that’s what I call them.''
If the 'U' is for nonsensical, than Murphy certainly has them beat.
