High School Musical 3 Epidemic at Northwestern

It's naive to say that only 11-year-old tween girls (and some boys) are fascinated by the Disney phenomenon that is the High School Musical franchise. Here at Northwestern, I'm not at all surprised to listen to one of the songs at an off-campus party or overhear a group of sorority girls outside of Norris making plans to go see the film. We tend to go bananas over the silliest of things.

And to appease HSM's more "mature" audience, Century 12 in Evanston has added a special showing at 10:20 p.m. That's waaaay past kids' bedtimes even during the weekend and perfect time for our pregames especially during the weekends...

They're talking to you, college student! They know you love it... we know you love it... you know you love it.

So expect tonight's (and tomorrow's) showing of High School Musical 3 at 10:20 p.m. to be the social event of... the week. Oooh and hopefully a bunch of E-townies will be there too (you know what I'm talking about...) I wonder what they will think of that bitch, Sharpay.

Call it cheesy, campy and shallow... exactly the type of entertainment we need during a depression.
