Some say that true love is accepting the vices and flaws of others and having them pay you with the same respect. Sadly whoever coined that theme is incredibly and sadly mistaken. Truth is, love is blind – very, very blind.

As I watched the rerun episode of 30 Rock when Jenna describes what love really is to Liz, I started thinking about what people really do to show hide their best worst attributes to that special someone. As a young 20-something college female I have seen it, heard it and done it all when it comes to keeping the lies alive. Here's Jenna’s list of what women in love do to hide the truth from their main squeeze.

“Love is Wearing Makeup to Bed” – You mean it’s not natural to wake up looking like Miss America pageant runner-up?

“Love is Going Downstairs to the Burger King to Poop” – Pass along the Facebook bumper stickers, deny knowing what BM stands for and pretend the gurgling noises coming from your stomach is just hunger rearing its deceitful head.

“And Hiding Alcohol in Perfume Bottles” – Smelling good & feeling good all in one little compact bottle.

So ladies, if you suddenly find yourselves giving up on deceiving your better half, it is time to reconsider the union. If you're not lying to someone else, you're lying to yourself!
