UCLA Robbery Suspects Arrested, Larger Worry Now Norovirus

Hear that?

That is the sound of the giant sigh of relief on the UCLA campus that the suspects of the several robbery incidents in past days have been arrested.

“We had them [the police] saturate the areas where they had occurred last, and (we caught the suspects) with a little bit of luck and a little bit of experience,” said UCPD Sergeant Robert De Francesco.

Police in unmarked cars patrolled the area and detained the suspects after witnessing a robbery.

Students have been hyper-aware and nervous walking back to their apartment homes. And even more of a worrisome thought was that the perpetrators could be UCLA students, and that Bruin-against-Bruin thought was unsettling.

But the perpetrators are not UCLA students and are thought to have committed up to 13 robberies in Westwood and Los Angeles.

UCPD is still urging students to be vigilant, especially walking home at night, but the general mood of campus has lightened.

Now all we have to do is avoid contracting the norovirus from the Trojans and we can continue on with our carefree college lives, and focus on the midterms coming up.
