Rutgers Blackout

Around 5:30 PM today, power went out without warning on Livingston and Busch campus. Students flipped open their cellphones as they lit their way through dark hallways and stumbled towards the bus stops, to seek refuge on the campuses that still have power. It's amazing how little there is to do when there's no electricity, and it reminds us that our ancestors use to go to sleep when the sun went down (but then again, they did get up at dawn as well, instead of staying up till dawn).

The cause of the outtage is unclear, and it only caused some cars to swivel a little in the darkened roads. Nothing like the massage power outtage in New York 5 years ago.
