Oh no, we're turning into USC.
The Trojans have suffered from two sexual assaults and a stabbing murder in the last month and it seems that the crime has spread to Bruin territory.
The Daily Bruin reported yesterday of two robberies in Westwood of two UCLA students and safety concerns have been increasing, just as they have at our rival's campus.
And what makes students so susceptible to crime?
A UCPD representative told the Daily Bruin that iPod headphones made easy targets.
“That’s a telltale sign that you have one, and it tends to be what they’re after,” she added.
But it seems that every Bruin walks around with iPod headphones or cell phone glued to their ear and that trend doesn't seem to be decreasing.
Good deal. If we didn’t have enough to freak out about with fee increases, class cuts, crappy football, grad school, the real world, making rent, personal relationships or lack thereof, hangovers, roommates, dirty dishes, no groceries, douche-y people, Sarah Palin’s candidacy, and everything else an average college student has too, now we also have to worry about getting robbed on our way home.
They always said college would be the best time of your life.
Ha.
