The Calm After the (Fire)Storm

The Calm After the (Fire)Storm
Now that the fires are over, it's back to the beautiful San Diego sunsets, midterms we haven't studied for, and late nights watching A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila. (Seriously.)

Here are your (lackluster) Halloween options:
  • Muir Halloween Carnival/Dance: Sober, awkward freshmen doing the souljah boy dance.
  • Board Club Halloween Kegger: $5 for badly, barely dressed hos. Will probably run out of alcohol before 11:00 p.m.
  • Pike Fright Fest 2007: Too many people and too little space means impossible lines and crowd. However, also means 99% chance of rubbing up on Slutty Nurse/Cop/Devil/Secretary.
  • Nightmare in da Hood: Given that it doesn't get broken up early on (don't count on it), this house party actually sounds the most promising.
But you really might as well turn off the lights and sip vodka in the closet. It'll probably be double the fun. If all else fails, at least wrap yourself up in a little tin foil and get your free Chipotle burrito in celebration of Halloween.

Eh, I hate to contradict you, but it is not back to the "calmness". People are homeless out there, without homes, without clothes and food; this illusion that everything is back to normal is gonna hurt them. I dunno...that's my opinion. =/ Maybe try to talk about efforts to help such people? www.ucsdcares.com Posted 11/03/2007 11:10 PMReply
