The Fires Blaze On, School Canceled Tuesday
Wildfires are currently still raging all around San Diego county, as seen on this Google Map. From UCSD we can hear constant sirens, and parts of Mira Mesa, which is about 15 minutes from campus and home to many students, are being evacuated. The dean has supposedly instructed RAs to take head counts of all on-campus students.

The most recent Tritonlink update:

Update: UCSD campus will remain closed Tuesday due to extremely poor air quality caused by regional wildfires, which are still uncontained. Classes are canceled for Tuesday, and non-essential employees are encouraged to stay home. Essential personnel should check with their supervisors to determine if they should report to campus.

This is a precautionary health and safety measure and we want to assure all those concerned that the campus is in no immediate danger.

According to CNN, the situation is only deteriorating, and 250,000 people have left their homes.
