Amber Lee Ettinger, known to many as The Obama Girl, has redefined what it is to be in politics. Accustomed to old men in stuffy suits, the nation was taken by storm when this seemingly desperate Democrat cooed her love for Obama. In the months to follow her Youtube debut, Ettinger was anything but desperate.

With over 9 million views on The Obama Girl video and about ten videos under her belt, Ettinger has been the woman of the hour year. Keeping busy with over 100 appearances and interviews, Ettinger has decided to make the crossover from the web to the music world. With her first single Second Time now available on iTunes, Ettinger is recording her third song and anticipates her album Queen Of The Web will drop in November.

Ettinger was sweet enough to stop by the OTR office and chat with me about her past, present and future. We even got an exclusive chance to tour the FIT campus (Amber's alma mater) with the internet queen herself for an OTR photo shoot.

Hailing from Hazelton, Pennsylvania, this FIT grad first came to the city to study fashion. Majoring in fashion design with a concentration in intimate apparel, Ettinger wanted to study what she loved to shop for and knew best – swimsuits and lingerie. Keeping her dreams of stardom at bay, she attended the university to earn a degree to fall back on just in case.

After countless magazine spreads and modeling gigs, Ettinger got the phone call that put her on the map. Ben Relles of Barely Political contacted Ettinger with the idea of creating a video for a song written by Leah Kaufman professing her love for the Democratic candidate. At first, Ettinger admits she declined the offer because she was out of town but after meeting with Relles and discussing the song, she loved it and agreed to film it as soon as possible.

Because of that fateful meeting with Relles, she went on to star in one of the most viral videos online today. Ettinger found herself making appearances on shows like SNL, Access Hollywood, and Geraldo At Large -- she giggled at mentioning his name gushing that he was one of her favorite interviewers.

With an enormous amount of Obama Girl attention still shining brightly on her, Ettinger will be juggling the life of her Democratic alias, modeling, acting, designing and she will also be focusing on her music career. "I don't feel complete unless I'm doing everything I want at once," she confessed as we talked about how her schedule's availability was becoming increasingly smaller.

Ettinger hopes to one day achieve the status of some of her favorite music influences including Mariah Carey, Madonna and Beyonce. To catch a sneak peak of her album, download her single Second Time on iTunes and get excited for her Queen of The Web album premiere which debuts in November.
