So you’ve set up the secret knock, you’ve gotten a couple wall posts on Facebook from your RA about you how rad you are, and all the booze is safely tucked away until needed. Now you’re ready for partying in your dorm room, and here are a couple helpful tips for how to keep your party running smoothly.

• Stick to just pre-partying in your dorm room. You run less risk drinking for a half hour than drinking for two.
• Don’t expect to have 20 people in your tiny little dorm room and not get caught. In and out traffic is a dead giveaway that someone's brother's best friend just got them a handle of Bacardi from Costco.
• Common sense, but extremely difficult when drunk: try not to have people screaming and yelling or music on super loud.
• If things are getting out of control, suggest heading out to IV. If you feel like you’re going to get caught, you probably are. Let the paranoia keep you out of trouble.
• As tempting as it is, try not to drink in the dorms during finals week. It's very tempting, but it's also perma-quiet hours, when they really crack down.
