Save Pandora Before It's Too Late!

Say it ain’t so! Pandora Radio is struggling to make ends meet due to the increasingly expensive Internet royalties it must pay as a Web radio service. Although Pandora receives one million users a day and ranks as one of the ten most popular iPhone applications, its founders have decided that the revenue (from free subscriptions) is insufficient to keep Pandora alive. Perhaps they should have thought about choosing a less ominous name in the first place.

Fortunately, there’s still hope! Pandora has not pulled the plug just yet. If you are one of the hundreds of thousands of fans who visit the site religiously, you know how brilliant the “Music Genome Project” is. The concept of personalized radio stations according to song tonality, harmony, and syncopation, is absolute genius. Whether you have the best or worst taste in music, Pandora will be sure to adapt to your preferences.

One of the best things about it is that it’s free; but if every person who listens to Pandora were to donate a dollar that could easily add up to one million dollars. With that dollar, you could get your money's worth off of unlimited hours of music. What a bargain.

So spread the word, tell your friends, make a Facebook group—save Pandora!

Hey, to keep Pandora on the air, I'll chip in a buck or two. Let me know when that fund gets set up. Posted 08/18/2008 4:23 PMReply
