The Summer of Sexual Assault

The Summer of Sexual Assault
A charming email just sent from Chief Thomas G. Robbins welcomed everyone back to school and reminded us not to get raped. The Chief peppered his friendly reminder with some delightful anecdotes about what you may have missed when you were at home in the safety of the suburbs.

First there was the one about the BU student who was one of two victims of sexual assault in attacks on the Esplanade this summer. Then there was the BU girl who was accosted and threatened at the St. Paul stop on the C-line. Another girl, renting a room in an MIT frat house, found a guy she didn’t know in her room and then screamed until he ran out.

Actually, that last one’s just what happens when you’re a girl and you rent a room in a frat house.
