UCI Reuses, Recycles and Respects the Red Cup.

The best thing to happen to college was the good ol’ red cup. It’s my friend, your friend, and an overall good time.

Last week, our very own Buckys lil Blogger gave us ten ways to use a cup. I loved it and felt like it is was my duty to show the world how we use, recycle, and respect the red cup on the West Coast.

Like all college houses should do, we recycle our red cups in the dishwasher for about four rounds: one round being a night of beer pong and drinking.

Instead of waking up and wasting all of that red cup glory and filling your trash can up, just rinse them out. We do a hot rinse in the sink the next morning and then load up. Don’t be afraid to put them on the bottom shelf either. If your house is as old as our piece of shit, the dishwasher will not be that good and it won’t melt the cups.

We do not recommend recycling the cups and using them for regular drinking purposes. We do, however, encourage the recycling of cups for drinking games. Let’s be honest; at the height of a drunken state, you don’t think about how clean your cup is. You just want to make sure it’s empty before the next team shoots.

That is just one way we utilize the beauty of the red cup. If you and homies take special care of this illustrious thing, let me know. Lets spread the word people.
