College Town Debate Parties by a Campus Near You

CollegeOTR has already laid down the rules of several presidential debate drinking games (and we’re still kicking ourselves over failing to foresee the frequency with which John McCain would say “my friends” in the second debate.) Sometimes the debates get farcical, but it’s not so bad when you realize that you’re not the only one seeing the political circus unfold. Therefore, CollegeOTR recommends checking out one of these College Town Debate Parties by a Campus Near You.

The NYU, Hunter College, Columbia, and New School students have a variety of options for debate parties, including at the Village Pourhouse, where “Obama Mama” cocktails will be served. What is an Obama Mama? We don’t know. But we do know that we like Obama, mamas, and booze.
63 Third Ave. New York, NY

V-Lounge will host a debate watching party tonight where there will be unspecified drink specials. UCLA kids can stop by to see McCain and Obama yap predictably and get an unpredictable drink special.
2020 Wilshire Blvd. Santa Monica, CA

Austin is supposedly the hardest drinking city in America, as well as a pretty blue city for a red state, therefore watching the debate at the Scholz Beer Garten should be nothing if not a rowdy collision of political opinions and luscious brews for UT Austin students.
1607 San Jacinto Blvd. Austin, TX

University of Chicago students can head to Venus Greek-Cypriot Cuisine tonight to see a debate between the two men vying for the American presidency. Not only will there by a bunch of half-truths flying between the two candidates, there will also be half-price food and house cocktails.
820 West Jackson Blvd. Chicago, Illinois

Gemma will host debate buzz-word drinking games tonight, so it sounds like a great place for University of Miami students to watch the debate, that is, until the room starts spinning.
529 Lincoln Rd. Miami Beach, FL
