I've Got An Interview!... in Westchester.
Okay. Starting now you are witnessing the anxiety and probable slow breakdown of a University of Chicago fourth-year who is two weeks away from an extremely useful BA in English. The problem being, I'm good at analyzing texts, and pretty much nothing else. Unfortunately the only job that would ever primarily ask me to analyze texts is called graduate school and I'm not going there. SO, the hunt for a sufficiently validating job is on!

Miraculously, today I was contacted about an interview. For a private investigation firm (I KNOW!).... in Westchester, Illinois.

I don't know where the hell that is either, so it's a good thing Google maps knows everything. Turns out, Westchester is 32 minutes due west of downtown Chicago. 32 MINUTES! Keeping in mind that right now, gas is like $4.20/gal in Chicago, which is to say, approximately a BILLION DOLLARS.

You should also know that I persuaded myself just the other day to not travel for 40 minutes on the Metra to get to Glenview for a teacher's test for a tutoring job.

I think I might be going about this whole job search the wrong way.
