New Palin-Couric Interview, Now With McCain as Chaperone

After her absolutely disasterous performance in her interview with Katie Couric the other day, Sarah Palin went back on the show to try to redeem herself, but she wasn't alone. That's right, she brought her chaperone, McCain, with her to make sure she didn't say anything stupid.

Well it turns out they're both capable of saying stupid things while together. Couric pressed Palin about a recent contradiction she made against McCain when she said that the US should attack inside Pakistan when they know of threats there (something Obama said we should do). Sarah kind of looks at McCain and he blames "gotcha journalism" for the gaffe, and she jumps in, all too eager to start saying "gotcha" too.

Problem is, as Couric points out, the person asking the question was a voter, not a journalist. Oops.

Also, when asked about Palin's qualifications, McCain says, "I remember when Bill Clinton was running as Governor of a small state and he had no experience. And everyone thought he'd lose to Bush one!"

Uh, did McCain just admit that Palin has no experience?

Two days to the debate. I'm overcome with anticipation.
