Remember when the protagonist of HG Wells' Time Machine encounters the Morlocks? Or in Lost, when they meet the Others?

Well Berkeley City Council met Zachary Running Wolf, an oaks grove resident, who is calling for the recall of mayor Tom Bates. The motives for this are somewhat unclear, since Bates also opposes Cal's proposed construction over the Memorial Stadium oaks grove.

Running Wolf, however, is very serious, and prepares to collect the necessary 17,500 signatures to qualify the recall.

Regardless, the City Council is unlikely to do anything, as, according to SF Gate, they're still laughing.
