"Just before she became pregnant, Pam fell into a coma after contracting amoebic dysentery, bacteria transmitted through contaminated drinking water.

Her treatment required a series of strong medications. As a result of those medications, doctors told Pam the fetus she was now carrying had been irreversibly damaged, and they strongly advised her to have an abortion.

She refused because of her faith in God.
Pam spent the last two months of her pregnancy on bed rest, and on her due date - Aug. 14, 1987 - she gave birth to a healthy baby boy, who she described as "skinny, but rather long."

This coming Saturday night, you can see Pam on TV with the rest of her family, celebrating the accomplishments of her baby boy and giving all the glory to God. Her son's name is:

In case you don't know of Tim: he is the current Heisman Trophy winner for college football and has been voted by many to be the best college football player in the nation. He also openly confess' his faith and love for Jesus Christ."


This is one success story, but what about the majority of these cases that do not end up happily-ever-after?

Forget the fact that Tim Tebow could have just as easily, if not more likely, been born mentally retarded with Asperger's syndrome.

God loves Tebow, but hates you.  I mean, God's plan is complicated. 

To quote Family Guy:

"What do you do when your stuck in a chair?
Finding it hard to go up and down stairs
What do you think of the one you call God?
Isn't his absence slightly odd?
Maybe he's forgotten you."

Do not falsely award credit to the Big Man. If anything, hail Tebow's healthy life and rise to football stardom as a small miracle in chance,  a dose of persistence and determination, and even stubborness in the face of sound medical advice; but not Jesus magic.

Of course, these "uplifting tales of miracles in the face of adversity" are some of the most forwarded emails.

Ranting about them will not cease their forwarding.
