Gators Beat the Canes, Need to Learn Manners

Gators Beat the Canes, Need to Learn Manners

Another fabulous Saturday comes and goes. I knew someone was bound to end up dead this weekend, and sure enough...we killed UM's 23 year winning streak against the Gators.

Speaking as a Gator that hails from Miami, I think I speak for all of us when I say that I hope this puts an end to your trash talk. It doesn't matter what kind of team you used to be or what stupid Gator Floppin' grudge you hold against us. The fact of the matter is, it's all about the U sucking. So save your trash talk for some other unranked team that gives a damn.

Moving on. Surprisingly, most UM fans were well-bahaved at the Swamp this weekend. It was the UF fans that were being rowdy.

Football Game Etiquette Rule 1:

Even though technically you're not supposed to, it's pretty commonplace for fans to stand up on the bleachers when they get excited. Generally, people stand up on the bleachers in front of their row. Then one jerk comes along and stands up in his own row and everyone gets thrown off. Some people go forward, some people go back, and some people get stuck not going anywhere and not being able to see anything. Here's a tip, guy in the blue fishing shirt, move up!

Football Game Etiquette Rule 2:

When you're moving in and out of rows, please don't push said fans who might be on the bleachers...especially not on purpose because you're bitter about the people standing up in front of you 20 seats down.

Football Game Etiquette Rule 3:

If you're going to sneak in a friend from another section, make sure you can make room for them in your little section without inconveniencing anyone else. Or else, get tickets together next time. I don't care if you sneak in 10 people as long as I'm not bumping and grinding with the person next to me because of it.

That's all for our lesson in gameday etiquette. Until next time...suck it, Canes!
