We have just received an anonymous tip here at the OTR offices on Garnett about a new student blog (yes another one). It's a gossip blog (yes another one). But unlike the rest, Rumor Royalty takes itself kind of seriously. Even creating merchandise on CafePress.

With words like "alliances" and "betrayal," creator RR puts a high emphasis on otherwise mundane college events, like going to the Keg on Mondays, preparing for Ski Trip and walks of shame down Sheridan. But RR also gets into some pretty scary territory by implying potential drug habits ("Thought to be spotted: M doing lines in the bathroom of his residence.") of her frenemies.

Also scary: apparently RR has assembled an army of drama-desperate wannabe's that report on all the minor social interactions of "NU's elite" both on campus and on Facebook. Creepy, no?

...Cause he wanted to go to BK?!

The blog focuses primarily around the Beta social scene. Which completely makes sense. After all, which frat would so shamelessly plug their own self-conceived notion of elitism?
