The Miami Hurricanes will be invading Gainesville this weekend for what is sure to be the game of the season. The excitement is palpable...but so is the fear. Not that we'll lose of course. We have a Heisman winner and Harvin and Spikes who are starting this game. They have...a new quarterback who is playing his first game since high school in the Swamp.
But what has a lot of people scared is whether or not someone is going to get hospitalized this weekend.
UM is a school we largely ignore because we have bigger fish to fry like LSU or UGA, but that doesn't make this any less important of a rivalry. The two Florida programs go head to head this weekend for the first time in four years and boy, do we hate each other.
You would think there had been an hurricane evacuation in South Florida because they're all coming up here, along with ESPN who is all set up with the College Gameday commentators.
Combined with the fact that the game starts at 8:00 pm and students have all day to get rowdy and belligerent, this is going to be a recipe for disaster.
Here is the matchup:
The Gators are at an advantage because even though there is a huge influx of UM fans, they are still vastly outnumbered. Touch one of us and prepare to be lynched.
However, the Canes have their own secret weapon. Ghettoness. Anyone from Miami will tell you...we are an angry bunch of ****s. Angry drivers, angry fans, you name it...people from Miami are pissed off about it. And you saw the UM/FIU matchup last year. Only two Miami teams would have an all out brawl on the field in the middle of the game.
It's going to be an interesting weekend.

Stumble It
