Just waking up after the heavy binge drinking that got you through the first week of school? Here’s what you might have missed:
Before you run out onto University trying to get to class on time, you should reconsider. Apparently, fining people on bikes for speeding wasn’t a ridiculous enough endeavor. Now GPD wants to crack down on jaywalkers, specifically those on University Ave. and 13th Street. Fines start at $52.50.
Our former UF Student Body president was arrested for an open container violation and resisting arrest. Of course he did.
Onto some of the better things that our student government has been up to as of late: in the first senate meeting of the semesters, a resolution passed to allow students to vote to make the Wednesday before Thanksgiving an official UF holiday. For the full story, see the alligator:

Now that is some legislation we can all get behind.
And in sports news, the Gators whooped some Hawaiian ass over the weekend with a 56-10 victory. Great way to start the season. Let’s all pray to the football gods that Tropical Storm Hanna doesn’t interfere with us beating UM this weekend.
On the subject of football, our season ticket t-shirts are adorable this season. This year students were given the chance to submit a design to be voted on by the student body. Aaron Kirker's design got the most votes...thankfully, because the other designs were butt ugly.

Stumble It
