UF Professor Busted With Cocaine

UF Professor Busted With Cocaine

UF anthropology professor, Michael Heckenberger, was arrested for attempting to trade cocaine for sexual favors from another man. Scandalous!

The professor, who has been teaching at UF since 1999, and even won the College of Liberal Arts and Science’s Teacher of the Year Award in 2005, was caught when he threw down a small plastic bag when he saw a Gainesville Police Department patrol car approaching. Now there's a guy who knows how to be inconspicuous.

But his brilliance doesn't end there. After it was determined that there was cocaine in the bag, Heckenberger claimed that it was not his. He then told police that he planned on trading the cocaine for sexual favors from a man.

To top it all off, because he was discovered about 450 feet away from the Progressive Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Heckenberger, was charged with the sale of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a church.

He was put on administrative leave and his classes will be taken over by a substitute. According to his RateMyProfessor ratings, he wasn't that great of a great teacher anyway (though, he did talk A LOT) so there isn't really a lot to learn from him, unless you need to know what NOT to do if you wanna avoid getting busted with narcotics.

May I have permission to repost this on my blog? I will be glad to link to this page as well. Posted 10/24/2009 08:22 AMReply
