One former University of Georgia football player combined his past love (football) with his current love (his GF) when he proposed at the Vanderbilt game. A brave Chris Shaw popped the big question in front of all of Stanford Stadium.
Shaw lured his unsuspecting girlfriend, Amanda DeBardelaben, onto the field under the pretense of a quick photo op. Then came the mushy moment of goodness. The Red and Black takes us there:
They entered the field shortly after the Redcoat Band had finished playing, and a collective "aw" was heard by fans as Shaw dropped to one knee.
"At first, I thought he had dropped something," DeBardelaben said. "But then, when I heard the crowd's reaction, I was just in complete shock."
So much shock that she forgot to answer, but made her intentions clear after leaping into his arms as fans in the vicinity began cheering loudly.
Do you think if UGA lost, it would have put a damper on the moment?
