Liana Mancini, Cornell’s resident sex expert, is back with yet another op-ed aimed at enriching our minds with a healthy dose of sex education and titillating our senses with borderline pornographic tales about her sexual misadventures.

In this week’s edition of “The Shocker,” Mancini attempts to reconcile the seemingly opposing doctrines of nymphomania and feminism.

Can a woman who loves sex—specifically one who loves being dominated during intercourse—be a staunch feminist as well? According to Mancini, they can be, but it all comes down to one thing: Choice.

She explains:

Yet I and many other women look at our male and female partners and, through the ball gags in our mouths say something like “bbbggmmmpphhffff” which loosely translates into “I CHOOSE to GIVE you control of my body for the time being.” And there’s the rub. Choice.

[…] There is no reason for there to be a disconnect between feminism and a person’s sexual nature. Feminism is, after all, about the right to reclaim our minds and bodies and the right to use them in ways that satisfy us. And whether that involves whips and chains or whipped cream and cherries, we should embrace the hell out of whatever gets us off.

[…] Sex can be a political act, but it doesn’t have to be. The way I **** informs my politics — not the other way around.

No idea how sex can inform one’s political beliefs, unless the television is set to CNN during the carnal act – but the notion sounds good to us.
