A Facebook account is no longer necessary to complete some good old-fashioned Facebook-stalking.

The site has added a new function that allows non-users to visit the site and view the public search listings of Facebook members who have unrestricted profiles. This is the latest step the site has taken in its quest to make it less appealing to users who miss the exclusive feeling of a site originally restricted to college students. Facebook plans to open up its search to search engines such as Google, Yahoo and MSN.

In addition to stalking the hot guy in the front row of chemistry class, users can now be stalked themselves by any faceless freak with an internet connection.

Update those security settings ASAP.
