Unless you live in some towering menace of an apartment building looming over Green Street, chances are you're a poor college student. Every penny counts, so here's a way to save 15 cents everytime you're jonesing for a soda on the quad.
Instead of going to the stage doors and Lincoln Hall (dirty!) or the lounge in the English Building (basement!) cross the street to the YMCA.
Walk through the lobby, take a left, pass the Thai Eatery, go down the stairs, and take a right. What's that you find awaiting you? A Dr Pepper/ 7-Up vending machine. Getting some Cherry 7-Up or a Diet Dr Pepper for only 50 cents? Sure beats getting Cherry "lame" Coke Zero for 65 cents. After 4 trips to the Y's cheap pop machine, you've already saved more than enough money for a 5th trip. Hurray, poor college student, you're slightly less poor!
