Use of Painkillers Skyrockets; Fueled by Self-Medicating SU Students?

As reported by WSYR.com, "The Associated Press found that locally, hydrocodone use is up 3% to 3.6%. Morphine is up anywhere from .7% to 5%. Oxycodone use has increased 5.5% to 11%."

The information can't help but point some fingers in the direction of the many students who are selling these drugs at a hefty price on campus (and their recreational pain-killer using friends who pay for them).

Information labels on the narcotics often warn: "use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness such as driving or using machinery. Avoid alcoholic beverages because they may increase the risk of side effects of this drug"...to which, most Syracuse underclassmen respond: I'LL DRINK TO THAT!
