Who said government officials are corrupt? Just because one or two or thirteen former and current Interior Department employees had some illicit sex with energy company employees and made some shady deals, doesn’t mean they are corrupt.
The accused officials have supposedly rigged contracts, worked part-time as private oil consultants, and had sexual relationships with oil company employees. An investigation found that these individuals reveled in a “culture of substance abuse and promiscuity.”
