Over the past couple of months, John McCain has released several mudslinging ads slamming his political archenemy Barack Obama. In one particular video, McCain called the Harvard/Columbia alumnus “the world’s biggest celebrity,” implying he is unfit to lead a nation, and in another, he took him to task on his now-legendary “lipstick” comment.
While Karl Rove and other pundits have openly criticized McCain’s tactics, Obama is far from a saint, and this new ad entitled “Fundamentals” is a testament to that fact.
Sure – the economy may be in the toilet, which is abundantly clear now with the implosion of Lehman Brothers, but any quote can be taken out of context and spun to sound damning.
Did you learn nothing from McCain’s “lipstick” attack ad, Obama?
