It’s not looking like a fun weekend for Hills Clinton! This Saturday she will be hosting an event in Washington DC to announce to the Democratic Party and to the nation, that she is finally ready to back up Barack Obama with her support.
After a very long and winding road, Clinton’s chances at presidency quickly came crashing down two days ago when Obama gained the amount of votes necessary (and then some) to clench the nomination. After 36 hours of silence, grieving and hiding from the public, Clinton has spent the past couple of days thanking her overworked staff and preparing to endorse Obama.
Now the real question is who will be Obama’s running mate? It’s obvious that Clinton is a possibility but why? Those two have been at each other’s throats for months, now their “people” are pushing them to run together? That would a complete disaster! Don’t believe me? The Toronto Star recently asked their readers who should be Obama’s running mate and the first (and my personal favorite) response was, “I doubt Barack Obama wants a running mate with such a vested interest in seeing him assassinated. This campaign is starting to remind me of the last season of West Wing.”
So it seems that the Quinnipiac poll was right, the American people would much rather picnic with Obama than Clinton!
