If The State Government Was Stricter, Our Lt. Governor Would Be Hanged for Treason
The classical dichotomy of student protestors and government resistance was broken this year by California's Lieutenant Governor John Garamendi, a UC Berkeley graduate.

As UC Regents and Governor Schwarzenegger ponder cuts on education funds and hikes on student fees, Garamendi has been encouraging students of the UC system to protest these actions.

Garamendi's support has been well received by almost all students, except for those who want higher tuition to weed out the poorer students. As they say, a friend in the system is a friend indeed.
