Joaquin Phoenix to Stop Acting, UC Davis Editor Devastated

One of my favorite actors of all time, Joaquin Phoenix, has claimed that he will be retiring from acting after the release of his new film Two Lovers.  Phoenix goes onto say in an interview that he did with Extra that music will be the new outlet for his creative juices.  Here are some of the other outlandish remarks he made:

"I want to take this opportunity… also to give you the exclusive and just talk a little bit about the fact that this will be my last performance as an actor… I'm not doing films anymore."

Extra's Jerry Penacoli, shocked by the news, further probed Joaquin. "Are you serious?" Phoenix, who was curiously being followed by his own camera crews, reiterated, "Yeah. I'm working on my music. I'm done. I've been through that."

Actor Casey Affleck, present during the admission, tells Extra, "I don't think he's kidding. He's got music and stuff."

As much as I love Joaquin, since he is basically one of the sexiest men to ever walk planet earth, he is known around Hollywood for being Mr. Cuckoo Pants. So I am not sure how valid his remarks are, but sadly it seems Joaquin thinks that playing Johnny Cash somehow warrants a career switch. Hopefully he will see the error of his ways and keep making movies.
