Remember last Dance Marathon when there was all that hullabaloo about Northwestern breaking the world record for “Most People to Do The Thriller Dance at Once”? And even the coldhearted among us broke out with a little Northwestern pride?

Well, all is lost. The Philippines win again, and by what seems to be hundreds of points. Those arrogant bastards. Yes, a jail in the Philippines danced the crap out of the Thriller dance and blew the 4 month record out of the water.

It’s hard to tell whether this actually counts as the world record, as most of the inmates are not doing the actual dance but some sort of shimmy shuffle, but still, kudos to you, Philippines.

No word yet on whether Mark Underhill, choreographer of Northwestern's version, has challenged the entire penal system to a dance-off.
