Only Hotties Attend Maryland

The Miss Maryland 2008 competition was held this weekend and guess who won? Yes, one of our very own, Louise Schlegel, a senior at UMD. We sure know how to represent.

Schlegel is the reigning Miss Allegany County, and was crowned Miss Maryland 2008 on Saturday. She will go on to compete in the Miss America pageant in January.

Conveniently, Schlegel is an acting major and after competing in the Miss America pageant she will pursue an acting career in Hollywood. Also very convenient, she will be participating in the "Miss America: Reality Check," a reality show that will cover the 52 Miss America competitors as they participate in the competition.

Who knows, maybe our Miss Maryland will become America's next big Hollywood star.
