According to the United Press International, Michigan hosted the Dalai Lama last Sunday. Seriously? The Dalai Lama? I once dressed up as him for Halloween!

In all seriousness, why can't Maryland get together a good speaker or two? I know Mike Wilbon, aka "The Man", is speaking later this month, but let's be honest, he's no Dalai Lama.

You'd think a major state school with 30,000 students would be able to pull in a big name speaker. And before you go on talking about how Obama came this semester, that was his decision and he did it to get votes. So no credit to Maryland.

Shouldn't someone be looking into this?
