Tons of Students Arrested At Florida State Football Game, University Must Be So Proud

FSU is really earning its reputation as Florida State Penitentiary. Just after a brawl between football players and frat boys cast an unsavory light on the school, state officials went ahead and announced a slew of arrests that occurred at FSU’s football game Saturday.

A whopping 36 people were caught on charges of possession of alcohol by an underage person. Students were drinking at a football game? Imagine the shock.

However, to FSU’s credit, they weren’t the only school where the arrests flowed like water beer. The bust was one of five recent stings at statewide football games done by agents with the Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco.

The University of Miami-Virginia Tech game garnered 25 arrests, the University of Central Florida-University of Southern Mississippi game 22 arrests, and the University of South Florida-Rutgers game 2 arrests. But Florida State has them all beat. The FSU-Boston College game won for the most arrests at one game. Hey, might as well be the best.

But why all the focus on Florida anyway? I’m sure there are plenty of underage drunkards in other states. Georgia, I’m looking at you.
